You can't make decisions on things you don't have enough information on

I've spoken to quite a bit of business owners who have had experience working with agencies before whether its website, seo etc all of the above.

I run a content agency and I personally hire a lot of talent ALL the time, whether its for our own website, to improve services, editors and the list continues.

We constantly have a hiring pipeline ready, for talent for most required skills and here is what I've learned.

YOU TRULY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. is the number one thing.

You can hire people 2 ways:

A. To completely own the project and give you a finished result which is expected to be good. (You at this stage don't have time and prefer somebody who knows what they're doing take over this project)

B. Reduce the percentage of the tasks, meaning you will still need to spend your own time, and make adjustments and finishing it yourself. But instead of you doing 100% of it, perhaps you're doing 50% of it because you hired someone to do most of the grunt work. (You have time still to allocate towards this and don't want to spend a lot)

Option B is cost effective and if you're relatively new business, this is how you can get the most done.

If I am about to hire somebody for a task, I need to know how important it is for my business, and I have to be prepared with questions and my own research, because if Company A is charging me 2,000 and Company B is charging me 5,000, I need to know the difference on why? There is no circumstance I get the same level of service I want from 5,000 on 2,000 hire, I need to know the risks etc before making that decision.

That's how I minimize getting bad services.
