Referrals come in all happy and jolly, because they were referred to you by their friend or someone and just think of the sunshine and glitters. They will listen to you, they will give you all the time you need, it doesn’t take much skill to close them.
Now talking to someone who barely knows you is a different challenge that most businesses don’t know how to do. They will keep comparing it to referrals, and that is what costs them, most of the time, not knowing how to talk to a cold lead or inbound lead is always going to effect you in the long run.
So for a business, who has mainly been relying on referrals, jumping into inbound lead or cold, leads is going to be a completely different experience. You can definitely scale much much faster by cold and inbound because there’s just more of them, referrals are not predictable.
