A Strategy for Your Local Market
If you serve a specific radius in your city, this one’s for you.
Let’s say your target audience is around 1 million people in your area. Open up your social profiles and start talking to those 1 million people today. For example, if you’re located in Boston and serve the entire city, call out the Boston market directly. Make a video saying:
“Hey Boston, [insert what you do]”
Start building your audience within your target market. You can also run ads specifically in Boston to reach everyone in the area.
Chances are you have a marketing budget. Instead of spending it all on billboards or PPC campaigns, unless both are performing extremely well and you’ve verified that with data, consider immediately building up your social media presence. You should do this regardless, because this is where people are and where they spend most of their time.
If you can capture an inactive audience and turn them into an active one, that’s where you’ll start seeing a real difference.
