Stop Creating Content Nobody Wants

Here's a reality check, Most business owners are creating content their audience actively avoids.

Let me explain.

I was reviewing a law firm's social media recently. They had beautiful graphics, perfect captions, and regular posting schedule. Want to know their engagement rate? 0.1%.

Why? Because they were creating content THEY wanted to make, not content their audience wanted to see. And to be clear engagement rate is irrelevant because our goal is always using content to make more cash, However if nobody is viewing the content then some things need to be fixed.

Here's the shift that actually works:

  • Instead of talking about your services, show them in action

  • Instead of explaining processes, show results

  • Instead of generic tips, share specific stories

  • Instead of professional jargon, use simple language

Quick example: One of our clients switched from posting legal tips on graphics to giving actual value in video format with proper hooks. This will profoundly increase the engagement and will keep building you a following over time.

Lawyer Example:

  • FAILING: Posts about legal terms and definitions

  • WINNING: "5 ways to avoid Jury Duty" Result: 4 Million views vs 500 views (being nice)

Sports Product Example:

  • FAILING: Constantly directly selling their product

  • WINNING: "Talking about how to solve a specific problem and how to solve it, and mentioning product at the end to let the audience know for a faster solution" Result: 400k views vs 200 views.

Remember: Your audience will tell you what content works. You just need to pay attention to the data instead of your ego.
