Stop Always Selling, Why Your Content Needs to Shift
Sell on Ads, Give Value on Feed.
A common mistake I see business owners make is constantly selling through their content. You’ll see it all over their feeds: “We do this, we do that, come to us because we have this.” It’s all about their services, and here’s the problem, there’s no reason for someone to follow or engage with that type of content. Why should they? You’re not offering them any real value.
Here’s the key, just give value. Tell them something they didn’t know, show them something interesting, and depending on your industry, even entertain them. Give people a reason to follow you because when they hit that follow button, it’s because they want to see more of your content.
Now, you might be asking, “But Areeb, where do I sell? How do I talk about my services?” Good question.
You sell on ads. Out of 100%, 95% of your content should be value-based, and only 5% should talk about your services. But your ads? That’s where you sell, 100%.
