I’ve seen many people go the “cheap” route when hiring agencies, often because they don’t have enough knowledge about what works. They focus on flashy numbers and promises, rather than what the agency has done, what their plan is for you, and how they operate.
Here’s what you need to do to get the best possible results from an agency:
Research Similar Businesses: Let’s say you’re a financial advisor. Go to Instagram and look up 5-6 other financial pages. Look at their content and ask yourself, “Is my stuff on par with this?” If the answer is no, how can you turn that into a yes?
Understand Their Plan: You need to get a good grasp of the agency’s plan for you. I’ve talked to many people who say, “I don’t know what’s being done” with their current agency. That’s a red flag. Always stay informed about the work being done.
Check Their Track Record: Look at the agency’s previous work and what they’ve done for other clients. A good agency is a blessing, but many inexperienced hires can leave you feeling like “it doesn’t work”. In reality, you need a strategy that’s unique to you, with a foundation that helps you grow even if the agency is only around temporarily.
