How Many Times a Month Should You Post on Social Media?

How many times a month should you post on social media?

You might have heard a lot of different answers.

The best thing to do, and we've tested this multiple times across hundreds of businesses, is to post at least once a day.

Once a day is the bare minimum. Do not post anything less.

Unless you're at a point where you're at 50,000 or 100,000 followers and you only want to create specific type of content which requires days to shoot, then you can post maybe three times a week.

But that strategy doesn't work anymore.

These social platforms reward consistency and more volume.

Now this doesn't mean you just put out random, inconsistent, irrelevant content. You cannot do that.

Every single content piece still needs to have a good hook, a good value portion, and a good call to action.

It has to be well structured and well thought out. The video needs to provide some sort of value.

And by value, I don't mean here are three tips. I don't mean that.

I mean, what can you give to that person? Is this person who's watching gaining some sort of education or value from the specific video for them to want to follow you or inquire for your services?

So if you're worried about how many times you need to post, just think once a day.

And then when it comes to what type of content you need to post, just try out multiple pieces of content.

You can try a talking head. You can try some B roll type of content. There's a lot of things you can do.

Experiment with it. See what Instagram rewards you for and just create more of that specific piece of content.

Here's the reality.

Most people post once or twice a week and wonder why their content isn't working.

The algorithm rewards consistency and volume. Not sporadic posting.

Once a day is the bare minimum. That's 30 videos a month. Not 4. Not 8. 30.

And every single one needs to be well structured. Good hook. Good value. Good call to action.

Not random. Not inconsistent. Not irrelevant.

Every video needs to provide value. Education. Something that makes them want to follow you or inquire.

And if you don't know what type of content to create, experiment.

Try talking head. Try B roll. Try different formats.

See what the algorithm rewards. Then create more of that.

But you can't experiment if you're only posting twice a week.

You need volume to test. You need consistency to train the algorithm.

Once a day. Bare minimum.

If you're not doing that, you're behind.
