Here’s what happens when you put your logos on your videos.

Branding is good, however....

Branding is essential, no doubt about it, it’s what makes your business recognizable. But when it comes to social media videos, overdoing the logos can actually work against you.

Here’s what I mean:

When Logos Work:

If you’re running a commercial, putting up billboards, or setting up event tables, go ahead, put your logo everywhere. It’s all about visibility in those spaces.

When Logos Hurt:

On social media, though, things are different. Your profile picture already has your logo. Your username is your brand. Adding your logo to every video can make it look like an ad or sponsored post, and people tend to scroll right past those.

The Problem with Branded Videos:

When viewers sense a video is branded, they often lose interest unless the visuals and script is there to make up for it, and let’s be honest, it’s tricky to do that every single time. Instead of focusing on your brand, let the video focus on your audience. Keep it raw and authentic, which resonates more with viewers.

A Subtle Fix:

If you still want your logo visible, try wearing it, on your shirt, hat, or even a subtle background placement. It’s a more natural way to incorporate branding without turning viewers off.

Remember, the goal of video content is to provide value and get people interested in your brand without overwhelming them with logos. Keep it simple, keep it real, and focus on what matters most, connecting with your audience.
