Give Your Ads Time To Work (Or Don't Run Them At All)

One of the biggest mistakes I see people do when running ads is expecting results right away. Money goes out but doesn't come back immediately, so they panic and stop.

Let me explain something about ad performance using two lines.

Line 1 is your ad spend going up Line 2 is your return going up

For the first 1-2 months, your ad spend line will always be higher than your return line. You might make a couple sales, but nothing significant.

Month 3-4 is where things get interesting. Your return line starts catching up. By month 4-6, that return line might shoot past your ad spend line.

Think about it logically. On a month to month basis you might be losing money. But if you adjust the timeline to 3-6 months, the returns instantly make more sense.

Most people quit in month 2 saying ads don't work. They never see the month 4 results where everything clicks.

If you're going to run ads, commit to at least 3-4 months. Test different creatives, but give the overall campaign time to work.

Remember: The algorithm needs time to learn who to show your ads to.
