Don’t use Linkedin as your “primary” platform, here’s why
LinkedIn is useful, but it shouldn’t be the backbone of your content strategy. Here’s why.
We’ve rarely seen consistent, scalable success from businesses using LinkedIn as their primary platform. Its algorithm is unpredictable, personal stories tend to perform better, and the size of your connections heavily influences your reach.
That’s why I suggest using LinkedIn as a supporting tool, not your main stage. You want your profile active so if someone looks you up, they see a credible presence. But when it comes to growth and real reach, platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook are far stronger.
Here’s the reality:
Posting daily on LinkedIn doesn’t guarantee results. If your content isn’t highly personal or story-driven, it usually flops.
Running ads on LinkedIn often attracts job seekers more than buyers.
Traffic volume is far higher on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, meaning more opportunities for leads and conversions.
This doesn’t mean you should ignore LinkedIn. Keep it active, use it as a credibility tool, and take advantage of its unique strengths. But don’t put all your eggs in one basket expecting C-suite executives to flood your inbox.
For organic growth and predictable advertising results, you’re better off focusing your energy on platforms that consistently deliver scale.
