"Disney Land"
I've seen these videos where staff say, "If we get to 10k followers, our boss will take us to Disneyland." Sounds fun, and they managed to go viral—good for them. But I still don't know what they sell, and that's a problem.
They've built a brand around going to Disneyland and staff-boss interactions.
Now, I see other companies trying to do the same just because of the numbers. Let me tell you, if your marketing team starts making content like that, you'd better have a product everyone can buy. There's no benefit to doing it otherwise.
Think about it logically: if I'm scrolling and see a video saying, "If we get to 10k followers, we'll go to Disneyland," how is that helping your business? You're just asking for followers. Those people will always want more of that kind of content. When will you get to talk about your product and what you actually sell?
And when you do switch back to your product, you'll quickly realize the low engagement you'll get because you've stopped making the Disneyland content. Some services and products are not meant to go viral, and some people don't understand this concept.
