Content - Reality Vs Expectation

There’s a false expectation a lot of people have when it comes to content and ads:

“If I just post every day, I’ll go viral, blow up, and start making a lot of money.”

The reality is…

That mindset usually comes from people who have never posted consistently before. They jump in with high expectations, and the moment results don’t match those expectations, their belief in the process falls apart.

Here’s the truth:

  • On the organic side, it can take 3, 6, 12, or even 24 months to build a strong, profitable presence.

  • On the ads side, things move faster, but even then, most people give up too soon. They run ads for 30 days, stop, and miss the payoff.

When running ads, I tell everyone:

  • Month 1: Expect to be unprofitable.

  • Month 2: You start catching up.

  • Month 3: You hit break-even or start making profit, and it grows from there.

The key is to set realistic expectations.

When you know what the real timeline looks like, you can strategize better, commit to the work required, and give yourself enough time for the process to actually work.
