At what point should you start advertising on other platforms like tiktok etc.

Answer: Go all in on one platform first.

There are exceptions. For certain local businesses, I recommend a hybrid approach:

  • Google Ads work well in demand capture scenarios. If your brick and mortar or service area falls within a local search perimeter, you can win instantly when someone types “near me.”

  • Meta Ads excel at demand generation, helping you reach larger audiences and create new demand at scale.

Outside of those cases, you should stick to one platform and scale it to its true limit. Most people underestimate how far that limit actually goes. For example, with Meta, you might not see diminishing returns until you’re spending $6,000 per day.

At the end of the day, ads are always math. Stop guessing if your campaigns are working.

  • Give it enough spend.

  • Give it enough time.

  • Look at the numbers.

Once you have your benchmark metrics, you’ll know when it’s time to branch out—or when you’re nowhere near the ceiling yet.
