Asking ChatGPT what happens if businesses don’t build an online platform in 2025
I asked a very simple question.
“If a business is not actively posting on any social platforms, or not existing online at all, what will happen to them in 2025, or will something happen at all?”
Here was the answer, after our conversation: Number 10, is something I didn't predict it saying.
1. People Are Online More
By 2025, most customers will search for businesses, products, or services online. If you're not there, they won’t find you and will go to your competitors who are more accessible.
2. Customers Expect Convenience
Customers want quick and easy access to information. If they can’t find your business online, they may assume you're hard to reach or unreliable and choose someone else who is easier to connect with.
3. Trust Comes from Being Seen
Reviews, social media posts, and customer feedback build trust. Without an online presence, customers may not trust your business because there’s no way for them to see what others think about you.
5. Real-Time Interaction
People expect businesses to respond quickly online. Without social media or a website, you can’t interact with customers in real time, which weakens your relationship and may push them to competitors.
7. Competitors Are Already Online
If you’re not online, your competitors will dominate the space. They’ll capture customers that could have been yours by staying visible, accessible, and engaged.
Google and social media algorithms promote businesses that are active online. If your business isn’t showing up, customers won’t even see you when they search for the services you offer.
9. More People Are Shopping Online
More customers are buying products and booking services online. If your business isn’t there, you’ll miss these opportunities to make sales and lose out on a significant portion of the market.
10. Post-Pandemic Shift
The pandemic has driven more people to shop and engage with businesses online. If your business doesn’t adapt, you’ll appear outdated, and customers will prefer more modern, accessible competitors.
Summary:
By 2025, being online won’t just be an option, it’ll be essential for survival. Businesses that aren’t active online will struggle to meet customer expectations and keep up with competitors who are already capturing the market. Adapt now, or risk falling behind.
