AI made it. Would you put your name on it?

Your reputation can take years to build and one careless post to make people question it. So if a piece of AI-generated content is going to represent your business, speed is a terrible standard.

In a team meeting, I showed a generated video that started well and then went somewhere completely random. The software had made an output. That did not mean we had something ready to put in front of an audience.

That distinction is getting missed everywhere. A tool can create a visual in minutes, write a passable caption, or give you ten versions of an idea. None of that tells you whether the message is accurate, whether it makes sense for your industry, or whether the last five seconds undo the first twenty.

Imagine a serious professional sharing a polished video that suddenly uses a strange visual, muddles a basic point, or feels like it belongs to somebody else. The audience may not know which tool made it. They will know whose page published it.

Before anything generated goes out, ask four simple questions. Does it say something true? Is it relevant to the buyer? Does it flow from beginning to end? Would I be comfortable attaching my name to it?

AI can be useful inside a proper process. At Fokus, we use it to explore or support creative ideas, but a generated option still needs human judgement, revisions, and an editor who knows what should be kept out. The point is not to avoid the tools. It is to stop confusing a first draft with a finished piece of marketing.

Generated options are just that: options. We compare them with the message, revise what needs revising, and let the final edit earn its place before manual publishing.

Use AI if it saves useful time. Just do not outsource your judgement to it. Your name is still the one customers remember.
