I can safely say the most time consuming part of content creation is dealing with editors, especially new ones.
If you’re planning to add an editor to your team, prepare to put in extra hours. And if everything seems perfect, it likely means you and the editor have little idea about the content and are just posting for the sake of it, especially if you’re new and haven’t seen the desired results.
Matching goals and understanding what to do in certain scenarios is important for you to do. Editors are an input and output role, if you don’t have time for input you’re output will not be as good.
The thing I started to do for the brands is I become the director instead, understand what their vision is with the brand, the looks and everything and its my job to deal with the editors cause I know exactly what to look for and my editing team knows what they’re doing. So it saves them a lot of hours.
