Ad Similarity has a purpose.
Why do all car commercials look the same?
You may have noticed that when you see an ad from Toyota to Honda for example, they look similar. Why is that? I thought the aim for marketing is to be different and stand out.
The purpose of these ads aren’t to stand out, these ads are simply made to let the consumer know that this is another option to consider in the same market.

With all the simpler models, if they start going too deep on marketing a specific feature, for e.g Tech feature or super performance then they will be targeting in specificities for people who are actively looking for those things, however that is not their goal, they want to sell these cars in volume.
So that is why it is important to create campaigns that put you another option to be considered.
