5,000 views vs 5 Millions views. (One Person Watching 10 Videos Beats 10 People Watching One)

A lot of people have this fantasy.

They want one video to do extremely well. They want one video to hit 5 million views.

And that's it.

But I'm about to put that to bed.

You do not want one video hitting 5 million views.

You want 90 videos hitting 10,000 views. Or 5,000 views. Or even 2,000 views, depending on your niche.

Here's why.

Trust is built through repetition, not virality.

Someone sees you once, and that's it. They forget about you.

Do this experiment yourself.

The next time you open social media, scroll through your For You page or the Reels tab. All you're going to see are viral videos.

A couple hours later, open the app again. Ask yourself, how many of them do you actually remember?

Not many.

It was a one and done thing. A temporary relationship.

For you as a business owner, when customers come to buy from you, you don't want temporary relationships.

You want something stabilized. Permanent. Where the trust is there.

So you need to make sure your videos are consistently being seen by your core target demographic.

And you don't need a million of those people on every single video.

Of course, if you get to that, big ups to you. But you don't need a lot of those people.

You only need a couple thousand to watch your content consistently.

And even if a handful of them go ahead and book a call and buy from you, that's still a lot in profit coming from social media.

So instead of going to the masses, where you're competing with the likes of Kim Kardashian and going the full on influencer route, which you don't have to, you need to make sure you're going the business approach.

Make business content. Which is completely separate.

Depth is what converts, not reach.

One person watching 10 videos beats 10 people watching one.

Here's the math.

If one person watches 10 of your videos, they've spent 10 touchpoints with you. They know you. They trust you. They're ready to buy.

If 10 people watch one of your videos, they've each spent one touchpoint with you. They don't know you. They don't trust you. They're not ready to buy.

So which one is more valuable?

The one person who watched 10 videos.

Every time.

This is why you need to stop chasing viral videos and start building a content library.

A library that your core audience can binge. A library that builds trust through repetition.

90 videos at 5,000 views each is better than one video at 5 million views.

The 90 videos build depth. The one video builds reach.

And depth is what converts.

So stop chasing the masses. Stop trying to compete with influencers.

Make business content for your core target demographic.

And make a lot of it.

Depth beats reach every time.
